1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email, company name, and password when you register, plus the bots, knowledge base content, and conversations you create while using BotForge. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, actions taken, device/browser info) to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the service, authenticate your account, process payments, respond to support requests, send service-related emails (billing, security, usage alerts), and improve BotForge's reliability and features.
3. AI processing & subprocessors
To power chat responses, BotForge sends your bot's system prompt, retrieved knowledge base excerpts, and conversation messages to Anthropic (Claude models) for generating responses, and to Voyage AI for generating embeddings used in knowledge base search. Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres, authentication, and file storage). These providers process data on our behalf under their own data processing terms and do not use your content to train their general-purpose models.
4. Data retention & deletion
We retain your account data, bots, knowledge base, and conversation history for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual bots, knowledge sources, or conversations at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, bots, knowledge base content, and associated conversations within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records for legal or billing purposes.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
BotForge uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We don't use third-party advertising trackers. Embedded chat widgets may set a local identifier in the visitor's browser to keep a conversation thread connected across page loads.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@botforge.ai.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on your data, and scoped API credentials, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
BotForge is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-product notice, and update the "Last updated" date above.
